Episcopal Church Women (ECW) of St. Luke's
The mission, as defined in the Handbook of the Episcopal Church Women Diocese of Newark, shall be to enable every woman to achieve full participation in the life of the church, to claim the power given her by the Holy Spirit, and to reach her potential as a Christian.
ECW holds their meetings on the second Sunday of each month at 9:00 AM in the parish hall. With renewed enthusiasm, ECW is looking forward to socializing, serving, and providing a space for women of the parish to come togther in fellowship. All women of the parish are invited and we look forward to hearing any suggestions for the upcoming year.
There are seven key areas where the general ECW membership takes the lead in planning and implementing:
- United Thank Offering - A way to give thanks to God for our many blessings.
- Blanket and Tool Sunday - Affiliated with Church World Service/Crop Walk. Requesting special contributions for this program.
- Church School Teacher and Youth Leader yearly Recognition - Thank the teachers and leaders for their continued support in the education of our youth.
- Fund Raising.
- Local Outreach - Christmas Giving Tree & Easter Basket Adopt Family Programs.
- Education - Forums providing opportunities for members of the church to discuss issues and various topics of interest with our church community.
