St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Phillipsburg, New Jersey
A parish family that WORSHIPS God, CARES for one another and HELPS those in need in the community and beyond

Welcome Home to St. Luke’s Church!

If you are new to the Episcopal Church, St. Luke's Church or any church, please know that YOU are very welcome here. As a church with newcomers who visit almost weekly, you won’t be alone either!

What makes St. Luke’s special? The people. People from all walks of life pray, serve, love and care for others both inside this church and out to the whole world. We pray openly for those who are sick or in need. We pray for the thanksgivings in life.

This community has something to offer everyone, so come check us out. We use some old fashioned words to describe our worship, so FYI “Eucharist” means a service with Holy Communion. Worship at St. Luke’s at 8am is a more quiet and contemplative service without music whereas the 10:15am gathering has music, more children and family oriented. BOTH services are wonderful in bringing people closer to God.

In terms of Episcopal Churches, St. Luke's would most likely fall under the umbrella of being a "broad" church, which means we are both contemporary yet full of tradition.

You are welcome at either service (try both to see which you prefer!) We have a warm coffee hour with refreshments after each service. We also have an Adult Forum where we informally go over topics and learn together on the 1st and 4th Sundays of each month.

Sunday School for children from preK-4th grade happens at 9:45am. It's a wonderful time for the children and your kids are very welcome. We also have a special Young Girl's group for girls in 6th grade and up, which meets on the 3rd and 4th Sundays at 9:30am, and we organize youth outings for boys and girls. You can read more about Sunday School and some of our other ministries by clicking HERE or by clicking through our website. You’ll see that we have a lot going on in our parish calendar, and we hope you’ll be a part of it.

So come and experience God’s sacred presence at our loving and warm church. You’ll feel like you arrived home!
