St. Luke's Episcopal Church of Phillipsburg, New Jersey

Dear Searchers and believers,

St. Luke's is a place of hope in a time when people find it hard to hope. We are surrounded by newspaper and television reports telling us that we are going to have a "tough year." Expendable income is tight, the world seems to be grasping for a sense of stability, and individuals are hurting. But God is about hope. At St. Luke's, we believe that this difficult time in peoples' lives can be an unplanned opportunity to re-evaluate our priorities. Faithful people have often said that a good measure of who we are comes from how we spend out money. When we have to think twice about what we spend that money on, we get twice the insight. And this is not only seen in our use of money- the gift of our time and talents is also vital in sharing who God intended us to be with the world. We hope that you will take this time to make God part of your life through the spiritual practice of belonging to a church community. I hope you will give St. Luke's a try as that place of spiritual beginning. May God bless you, now and always,

peace,
Fr. Tom
